Reporter Helped Faeldon Escape

The police has recently announced that they have identified a reporter as having helped Trillanes henchman Capt. Nicanor Faeldon escape during the Peninsula fiasco. This should serve as a reminder that in a crime scene, every personality should be processed to be identified either as a witness or a suspect. What I cannot understand is why the police failed to stand firm in its initial statement.

I hope the media will recognize that they are not above the law and stand aside as the cops do their work. As for the PNP, I hope that they will start getting their acts together, really understand the law and implement it equally for everyone.

The media has been very combative of late. I doubt if they will realize anything from this. They would even cast aspersions on the report as a prelude to more media muzzling. Their judgment is totally blinded by their dislike of Arroyo, and are probably inclined to support more rebellions not really to improve the situation, but to put them in the limelight and to sell more papers. --Durano, done!

Hi Durano!

It's all about money for everyone.

A computer manufacturer for instance, sells PC's. If the sales are starting to drop, they introduce new models.

In the same manner, the media is in the business of selling papers and advertisements and the only way to do that is to feature hot topics. If there isn't one, why not create it?
