It seems that I need a plantation shutter for my newly renovated home. My windows are a bit longer than my old design and with the sunlight getting bigger access of the insides of the house; it can get very bright during early morning and/ or very warm in the middle of the day. The plantation shutters also allow me to enjoy the view when I want it and provide me with privacy when I need it.

Welcome 2011

Preparing to meet the New Year, I cleaned the house, fixed the broken fixtures and replaced my door handlesets and whatever needed to be thrown away. I have a belief that every start of the year is a good excuse to start anew or continue the good things that are being done. The house should still look good by the end of the year and I will be left with nothing to do but home improvements.

2011 Vacation

It’s barely the start of the year and I am already dreaming of my next vacation. I want a few days in a nice beach house spending most of my time lazily dozing or sitting by a nice expensive mattress lined with Egyptian cotton sheets. But to be able to do that, I will have to work really hard, impress my boss and earn that holiday. This is the year of the rabbit. Let’s see what it has for me.
