According to Dr. Teddy Herbosa, special adviser of the National Task Force Against COVID-19 told CNN Philippines’ New Day that the number of patients who recovered already surpassed the patients who died and the doubling rate had also decreased.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
This means that the Covid virus is not infecting people as fast as it used to and this has given the people time to adjust and prepare for its eradication.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
The lockdown and social distancing campaign worked in isolating the infected people. Lifting the lockdown will be dangerous but if proper social distancing and hygiene are seriously followed by the people, there is a good chance that the virus will not infect people as aggressively as before. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
The best remedy, of course, is to develop a vaccine and of course, a medical remedy for infected people. </div>

<br />
<br />
Sharing this from Youtube (Video) and Reddit (Fun Facts below):<br />
<br />
A few pieces of trivia I discovered about Juan Ponce Enrile, who was born in 1924 and is now 92 years old:<br />
<br />
Queen Elizabeth is two years younger than Enrile.<br />
<br />
Penicillin was invented four years after Enrile was born. (h/t Jomel Salas)<br />
<br />
For the first four years of Enrile's life, sliced bread did not exist. Bread slicing machines were invented four years later.<br />
<br />
Enrile is one year older than television.<br />
<br />
The Jazz Singer, the first talkie film, was screened when Enrile was three years old.<br />
<br />
The good news is, Enrile isn't older than Disney company. Disney was founded four months before he was born.<br />
<br />
However, Enrile is still four years older than Mickey Mouse.<br />
<br />
Sewer systems in the Philippines were modernized when Enrile was five years old. That most likely means he was drinking contaminated water for the first few years of his life.<br />
<br />
In his early years, Enrile lived under an insular government, and only when he was 11 did Manuel Quezon take office under the Commonwealth government. Yes, Enrile was much, much older than the Tydings–McDuffie Act.<br />
<br />
Enrile is as old as frozen food - or rather, the invention of frozen food.<br />
<br />
Addendum: A list of things ordered by time of existence:<br />
<br />
Reader's Digest (1922)<br />
<br />

<a href="http://beyonddeadlines.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/03/naia-t3.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://beyonddeadlines.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/03/naia-t3.jpg" height="266" rel="nofollow" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
Yesterday, news came out that the dreaded airport (NAIA) has a another passenger scam being implemented. According to news reports, unscrupulous porters approach passengers and tell them that there's a long line at the airline check in desks and most probably, they will miss their flight.<br />
<br />
Such kind of words are quite alarming especially for passengers are only at the airport because of their connecting flights. This is also bad news for passengers whose tickets cannot be re booked, non transferable and non refundable.<br />
<br />
Scam No 1: The crooked porters, knowing how such inconvenience can affect the passengers, will offer to "Fix the problem" with a $50 grease money and their tickets will be processed ahead of the other passengers who are already lined up.<br />
<br />
Scam No 2.: Other/same porters will approach the passengers and ask for more money saying that the initial $50 was not enough. The porters this time can be more menacing.<br />
<br />
For Passengers ( How to avoid these scams):<br />
<br />
1. Do not engage in scams. If you are about to get delayed, ask for official remedies. Approach the airline desk directly and explain your problem. As airline/airport employees, it is their obligation to help you.<br />
<br />
2. Record every conversation. Download spy apps and use it to catch criminals.<br />
<br />
3. Report the criminal activities observed to the authorities and send it to your lawyer, friends, and relatives.Those people will become your insurance polices. Also consider the legal implications then decide if it is worthwhile uploading it to the social media.<br />
<br />
For Airport Authorities (How to Prevent the Porter Scams):<br />
<br />
1. Prevent unnecessary interaction between porters and passengers. Porters at Philippine airports are all over the passenger parking, loading and unloading areas, etc.<br />
<br />
2. Restrict Porters to their areas at the airport and whenever passengers need their services, they may approach the airport customer services and ask that porters be called.<br />
<br />
3. Ban airport cops and personnel from asking passengers if they need porters. They should also be banned from suggesting porter services to passengers.<br />
<br />
4. Porters should be banned from unnecessarily speaking to passengers. Those who are done serving customers should never talk to other passengers and head directly back to their quarters.<br />
<br />
5. Optimize the use of CCTV and scrutinize every movement at the airport.<br />
<br />
6. Penalize every violation of airport rules.<br />

Cars are badly needed during campaigns and with the value of vehicles being very high in this country, selling carjacked vehicles and parts is big business.<br />
<br />
Now, there are people in the streets, radio stations and even in congress who thinks that stronger legislation is what's needed. Therefore, some are now calling that the crime of carjacking come with a no bail provision for all suspects. That may sound yummy but it is not. This country have a lot of laws already but enforcement, prosecution and the judicial system itself is seriously lacking.<br />
<br />
What's the use of calling for no bail if no sizable arrests, indictment and convictions are being carried out? Of course, there is also the issue of our bad penal system but let's not talk about it now.<br />
<br />
My fear is that this "No bail" provision will only be used as a tool for oppression. Crooked cops can threaten people with carjacking and hence, no bail, if no sizable grease money if given...<br />
<br />
I humbly suggest that we spend more time cleansing the ranks of the police and helping them catch crooks.<br />
<br />
Install CCTV's everywhere and post the criminal's faces on facebook. The cops would have no choice but to catch them.<br />

While smoking my favorite <a href="http://www.famous-smoke.com/brand/backwoods+cigars">backwoods</a> cigar, I reflect on the hottest issues of the land and conclude that all this brouhaha over the death of one fisherman is 90% hogwash. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I agree that every life is sacred but for a country to trample a weaker neighbor in a warlike manner over a still unresolved issue is simply bullying.
Let justice be served and punishment be meted to those responsible. However, Taiwan should not impose its own brand of supposedly speedy justice to another country. It should let the courts conduct the trials and if they are not satisfied with the outcome, then they should start thinking of something else. But for them to issue a fellow sovereign state an ultimatum the way they did, I wish that China would claim them back.
I thought that Taiwan is the better part of China but it seems that they are not.

Sans any complete report and only the testimony of the surviving fisherman, the President threatened the Philippines with war by ordering military exercises aimed at the smaller economy, banning the importation of Philippine labor, etc. etc.
In incidences such as this, a leader is supposed to calm his people, call for the truth and stabilize the situation. Instead, Filipinos are now being harmed in Taiwan. No thanks to the hawkish government.
When China comes to claim you back, I am not so sure I will sympathize with you... bullies!

Therefore, I am planning to design my heavy duty own travel luggage. I have somebody who can fashion any design from polymer so I won’t have many problems with the shape of my bags but I will probably have to look for a reliable supplier of durable <a href="http://www.reidsupply.com/sku/AES-12067/">plastic hinge</a>s.I remember this guy in the Philippines who built his own cars but realized that he cannot fashion a car door from his backyard. Dan Lemon again mentioned his opposition to the existence of assault weapons saying that he would have better chances against a man with a knife or a baseball bat. As an aftermath of China's attempts to bully the Philippines by announcing its move to draw a map on their passports that show disputed territories as part of their territory, five ASEAN countries are now set to join the Philippines in its claim for ownership of certain territories.<br />

I wonder if President Noynoy Aquino’s military aides <a href="http://www.gotbriefcases.com/">Got Briefcases</a> similar Barrack Obama’s aides. I am talking not only about the one that contains the emergency launch codes that will launch nuclear weapons but also elegant briefcases that contains the president’s personal effects and working documents. I try to look for military men carrying briefcases whenever the president appears on television but I can’t seem to spot any.</div>

This started with the unfortunate killing of half a bus load of Hong Kong tourists, Aquino's unintended snob of Hong Kong's Chief Executive and the series of mishandling of the governments actions involving the Scarborough Shoals.<br />
<br />
It points to a glaring lack of collective experience in handling sensitive foreign affairs issues as well as the current administrations clumsy if not rookie and "On the job training" approach in running the government. Mr President, please take good care of this country. You have done many good things but you must have realized by now that a single mistake can undo all the good things that you have done.<br />

I do not know the brand of Santana’s instrument but I think,

She was a junior compared to her co justices of the high court and admitted such during the selection process. The president however, chose her and she accepted the post. This led to a lot of justices boycotting her public appearances in silent protest. The thing is, she needs all the help that she can get because the high court is loaded with problems.</div>

Some people are so good that they can roll with just about any punch that other people throws their way. A public servant that I kept on reading about remained quiet despite a black propaganda campaign waged against him by a well financed group and he only spoke after he left his post. He was maligned 99% of the time his name was mentioned in the news but he kept his cool.jc smithhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14416164709039335928noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7529560774624974980.post-16554267967530891042012-09-23T12:32:00.001+08:002012-09-23T12:35:12.464+08:00PH was better during Martial Law?<div style="text-align: justify;">
Do not crucify the son for the sins of the father.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
But when the son aligns himself with head of states like Iran's Achmadenajad and Japan's <a href="http://whatdowecare.blogspot.com/2007/09/goodbye-abe.html">Shinzō Abe</a>, we move forward and leave the son along the dust bins of history.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Achmadenajad publicly denies that the Holocaust happened while Abe proclaims that the comfort women and killings in the Philippines were mere propaganda concocted by enemies of Japan.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<a href="http://www.interaksyon.com/article/43580/martial-law-victims--after-he-was-lured-back-to-the-philippines-he-disappeared" target="_blank">Bongbong Marcos</a> has from time to time did the same thing about Martial Law. He cannot deny it now because of lot of people who were present at that time are still here but from time to time, he would try to <a href="http://ph.news.yahoo.com/bongbong--ph-was-better-in-martial-law.html;_ylt=ApDjL5.6dSEICmWHy73SvITpV8d_;_ylu=X3oDMTUwcnV0Y2s2BGNjb2RlA2N0LmMEbWl0A01vc3QgUG9wdWxhciBTdG9yaWVzBHBrZwM5MjA5Y2M2ZS1kZDM0LTM3NjEtYmRlNS00NjBhZGFjZWVmNDkEcG9zAzEEc2VjA01lZGlhQkxpc3RNaXhlZE1vc3RQb3B1bGFyQ0FUZW1wBHZlcgNlNTM3N2VjMy0wM2NiLTExZTItOTU3ZC0wZjA2Y2JlYjYxZDA-;_ylg=X3oDMTJvNG8waTdvBGludGwDcGgEbGFuZwNlbi1waARwc3RhaWQDNmUxYzAyNWItOWFhYi0zNWRiLTlmZDQtM2Y5OThmZTFmY2ZlBHBzdGNhdAN3b3JsZARwdANzdG9yeXBhZ2U-;_ylv=3" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">justify it</a>. The Philippines was better under Martial law? Is that why a US court ordered that money from the Marcos estate be distributed to some 10,000 victims of human rights abuses under the Marcos watch?</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Bongbong, if you are like your father, you probably deserve to be forgotten like that Iranian and Japanese mentioned above.</div>

At the Philippine Daily Inquirer today, one headline says:</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
"Cops may tap Skype conversations, e-mails under new cybercrime law"</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
It says that under the recently signed "Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012", it only requires a court order, cops may be able to tap into everyone's online activities.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I believe that in instances where privacy gets into conflict with crime prevention and protection of national security, the individual has to take a back seat. However, the danger of this law being abused by people out to harm others remain very high. At the Manila Police District for instance, a radio reports that a good number of cases are filed against cops every month. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I therefore propose that a special court be created specifically to handle cyber crime. That way, only a select few will be able to decide this matters. People will also be able to closely scrutinize their decisions.</div>
